01Who we are

This website is operated by Delord Studios (ABN XX XXX XXX XXX), a retail strategy and ecommerce consultancy based in Northcote, Victoria, Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Delord Studios.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Where we work with clients or visitors in the European Union, we also aim to meet the standards of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

02What we collect

Information you give us. When you use the contact form, email us or book a call, we collect what you choose to share, which may include:

• your name and email address
• your business name and website
• the topics you're interested in, preferred timing and a rough budget
• anything you write in your message
• a phone number, if you provide one

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and to keep the site running.

Please don't send us sensitive information (for example health or financial account details) through the contact form.

03How we use it

• to reply to your enquiry and arrange a conversation
• to prepare proposals and deliver work you engage us for
• to keep records of our correspondence and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations
• to keep this website secure and working properly

We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't sell, rent or trade your personal information. If we ever start a newsletter, it will be strictly opt-in.

04Who we share it with

We only share information with trusted service providers who help us run the business, and only as far as they need it:

• Cloudflare — website hosting and security
• Formspree — delivers contact form submissions to our inbox
• Email provider — for our business email
• Booking tool (e.g. Calendly / Cal.com) — if you book a call
• Notion, Slack & Xero — project management, communication and invoicing, for clients we work with

Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. We choose providers with strong security and privacy practices. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

05Cookies & analytics

This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures visits without cookies and without identifying individual visitors. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site from abuse.

06Storage & security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including using reputable, access-controlled tools and two-factor authentication where available.

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond and follow up — generally no more than 24 months if we don't end up working together. Client records are kept for as long as required under Australian tax and business law, then deleted or de-identified.

07Your choices & rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you
• correct anything that's inaccurate or out of date
• delete your information, where we're not required to keep it
• stop contacting you

If you're in the EU or UK, you may also have the right to restrict or object to processing and to receive your data in a portable format. We'll respond to any request within 30 days.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, or your local data protection authority if you're in the EU.
